Back in early 20th century, Japanese fisherman and their families made their homes in Fish Harbor, a small village on Terminal Island where the fish were plentiful and life was simple. Then World War II came. All that stands there today is an often overlooked memorial.

Los Pobladores: The 44 Founders of Los Angeles

Los Angeles was founded on September 4, 1781 by 44 people (known as Los Pobladores) who traveled from Sonora and Sinaloa to establish a pueblo for the Spanish empire.

The Pacific Cinerama Dome, the world’s first concrete geodesic dome, has been a fixture on Sunset Boulevard since it first opened on November, 7 1963 when it famously premiered the star-studded “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.”

If you’ve spent any time in Los Angeles driving along The 101, then you’ve likely noticed the giant, illuminated cross on top of a hill in Hollywood. One day, we ventured up that hill for a closer look.
